The heating season has begun and we have been providing waste wood to socially disadvantaged residents for the twelfth year, which will help them in the winter months.

Since 2013, we have been donating waste firewood (mostly unusable pallets) to marginalized communities from surrounding municipalities every year. Currently, these are Sokoľany, Veľká Ida and also the non-profit organization Oasis - Hope for a New Life (Oáza - nádej pre nový život), which provides shelter for 250 - 350 people in extreme life situations. 

Peter Labaš, waste manager, said:

“Thanks to the donation contracts, these entities can receive wood from us and ensure its distribution and use, whether as material or fuel, exclusively in the households of the residents of the aforementioned municipalities and in the households of the non-profit organization Oasis - Hope for a New Life . In 2023, we donated over 100 tons of wood for this purpose. By 2024, it will be about the same amount.”
