Today (4 November 2025) the seventh edition of the European Parliament of Business™ (EPE) takes place in the European Parliament's meeting room in Brussels. EPE is the largest event at EU level, providing space directly to entrepreneurs. Eurochambres brings together more than 700 business representatives from all over Europe to "become" Members of the European Parliament for a day.

U. S. Steel Košice is represented in the delegation of the Slovak Chamber of Commerce and Industry by: Alexander  Zemančík, Director Business Controlling, Marketing and Strategy (on the left in the picture) and Michal Pintér, Director Government, EU Affairs and REACH.

The EPE Conference, held every two years in cooperation with the European Parliament, commemorates a parliamentary session and brings together business and EU policy leaders for a day to improve mutual understanding.

It is a unique forum that allows for a debate directly in the European Parliament on key issues shaping the future of the European economy.

The 2025 edition deals with three key themes:

1️⃣ Global success: a European trade strategy in changing global relations and new geopolitical        contexts
2️⃣ Future of Europe: conditions for growth and investment
3️⃣ Promoting sustainable growth: decarbonisation while maintaining a competitive industry

These topics are also particularly relevant for energy-intensive industries, which play a key role in the green transition and building a competitive and sustainable Europe.
