Most children are not looking forward to the end of the holidays. Children from the Children's Home in Podolínec and CDR Košice – Uralská, as well as children from the families of our colleagues from the project We are with you at the right time, are exceptions. Even though they have already sat at school desks today, they will remember for a long time the great farewell to the summer, which was prepared and organized for them by Slávka Tvrdoňová from Public Affairs. More than 60 children from Uralská, almost 40 from Podolínec and five children of our colleagues met at the end of the summer holidays, on August 28, in the Sports and Entertainment Complex on Alejová in Košice.
The children were welcomed by the Director for External Relations, Ján Bača, who also told them about the program we have prepared for them – on the traffic playground, sports grounds, on a covered area that provides space for skaters in winter and which this time has been transformed into a large entertainment center full of inflatable attractions, but also in creative workshops.
Almost all children were interested in riding on the traffic playground. They used bicycles, cars, scooters ... and conscientiously obeyed all regulations and traffic lights. The older, sports-minded boys did not miss a traditional football match.
Tables packed with various tools for creative creation, prepared by OZ Tvorivá dielňa, attracted children who like to draw or create something nice. A great attraction was the joint painting of two large paintings, which already beautify the premises of both children's homes. Anyone could put their hand to the work, or rather a brush to the canvas.
The boats were very popular in the afternoon, because the weather was really beautiful and the water in the pool was able to turn a hot day into a bearable one. The heat did not bother the children, who danced to the songs they chose themselves at the event.
A large group of fans had the production of model airplanes and cars, and children also admired real, large models of airplanes.
We were very happy that the families of our colleagues from the We Are With You at the Right Time project also accepted the invitation to the event.

Although they still had a long way to go home, to Podolínec, they left cheerful, happy and full of new impressions and experiences.
