Last week, we attended a Christmas meeting organized by our seniors from the Autumn of Life. The invitation was accepted by the Director of External Relations Ján Bača, the administrator of the U. S. Steel Košice Foundation Slávka Tvrdoňová, the deputy mayor of the Košice West District  Peter Huba and the director of the Council of Seniors of the City of Košice, who is also a former steelworker and member of the Autumn of Life club Ján Caban.

The chairwoman of the club, Anna Havierová,  thanked U. S. Steel Košice and the management of the Košice – West District and Ján Caban for literally drawing them into the activities organized by the Council of Seniors for their year-round support and assistance. She also thanked all the members of the club who contributed to its good name. These are mainly athletes who have won the petanque league this year as well, they represent excellently in the table tennis league and in the individual competition, they regularly participate in summer sports games and other events.

"We were very happy to come among you and we believe that the next year will be as active for you as this one," said Ján Bača, who also brought small gifts to the seniors.

Peter Huba appreciated the cooperation with the Autumn of Life and promised to build a petanque court in the city district.  At the same time, he invited seniors to the mayor's cabbage soup and mayor's punch.  

The meeting also included excellent hospitality, which was taken care  of by Helena Brožeková. She not only cooked the really tasty cabbage soup, but also served it personally.
