Academics, partners and friends of the faculty met at the FMMR TUKE representative ball, which took place last Friday. U. S. Steel Košice was represented in large numbers this year.
In his speech, Vice President Marcel Novosad appreciated the long-standing cooperation between the faculty and industry in the development of modern and sustainable metallurgical solutions.
During the evening, prominent figures from the faculty were honored: Iveta Vasková, Mária Hagarová and Branislav Buľko.
This year, managers from U. S. Steel Košice were also honored for their active contribution to joint scientific and research projects and the connection of education with practice:
• Andrea Egryová – for strengthening cooperation between the university and application environments and supporting the “Reducibility” project, aimed at the development of innovative material solutions.
• Peter Mosný – for long-term support in the development of scientific, research and pedagogical activities and active participation in the project "Sustainability" in the field of ecological and technologically sustainable solutions.
• Ladislav Horváth – for significant cooperation and support for the development of projects in the field of energy, aimed at modern and sustainable technological solutions.
• Ľubomír Račko – for active participation in the development of the digitalization projects "AI4Steel" and "Smart-Steel", which move metallurgy towards digitalization and intelligent solutions. The cooperation of the faculty and U. S. Steel Košice is an example of how science, practice and innovation move each other forward.
