Steelmakers have been helping Košice for two decades. The jubilee 20th year of the Steelmakers for Košice event will take place on May 29 and 30. During both days, you will be able to donate clothes or other useful things for people in a difficult life situation - families in need, homeless people, seniors, or mothers with children from the Crisis Center for Mothers with Children in Košická Nová Ves. We organize the charity collection in cooperation with the Archdiocesan Charity Košice, which has as many as 34 charity centers in eastern Slovakia and directly helps people in need in our region. Last year, 85 bags of clothes, shoes, hygiene products, non-durable food, bedding and other necessary items were collected for them.
You can bring clean, washed and fully functional things to two collection points in two days. Directly to the center of the Archdiocesan Caritas, or to the headquarters of the civic association Autumn of Life, which brings together our former retired employees and without their help we can no longer even imagine the collection.
The general public can also participate in the charity collection, not only the employees of U. S. Steel Košice.
