Behind the lens with Jan Kisucky

For photographs of birds and insects by the lake in the Entrance Area, Ján Kisucký from the Cold Rolling Mill earned a reward. Janko is a frequent author of photographs from events organized by our company. Most recently, he photographed badminton at the Summer Sports Games, or Salamander Days in Banská Štiavnica, where our employees were also awarded. At the end of the holidays, he also immortalized a sports and entertainment day, which we prepared for children from friendly children's homes. For children, the camera lens is an attraction and they are always very happy about Janko's arrival.

We have already published the photos from the surroundings of the pond, which Janko sent us:

The reward for them was a voucher for sports equipment or clothing from the Decathlon store. When handing it over, I was curious about his "photo beginnings".

"I started to devote myself to photography when I was twelve.
I learned on my own, I didn't attend any photo clubs. I was so interested that I entered various competitions and won several awards. Gradually, I expanded my photographic technique. First, "SLR cameras" for film, later, with the advent of digital technology, I switched to a digital camera. I also photograph Košice marathons. You can see these photos on the citylight advertisements on Hlavná Street. My photos have also been published in Italian occupational safety magazines. Years ago, the then editorial office of Oceľ východu regularly announced photo competitions on various topics. I managed to win. That's how I got into photography for U. S. Steel. It started with events such as awarding employees for years of service, corporate sports games, balls and Christmas events, Košice Venice, events for children's homes and families, which U. S. Steel supports. This job is my hobby, I also really enjoy interacting with people. I always look forward to every next photo event."

Janko will next photograph a mini-marathon run of children from children's homes on October 5. They will stand at the start thanks to the support of U. S. Steel Košice. We will also bring you closer to the atmosphere of this event thanks to his lens.
