U. S. Steel spolu so spoločnosťou Nippon Steel a jej stopercentnou dcérskou spoločnosťou Nippon Steel North America oznámili vymenovanie troch nových nezávislých členov Rady riaditeľov (Board of Directors) U. S. Steel. Rada riaditeľov vymenovaním nových členov spojila dokopy vysoko uznávaných lídrov, ktorí zdieľajú záväzok budovať silnejšiu spoločnosť s jasnou budúcnosťou pre jej zamestnancov a pre výrobu ocele v Spojených štátoch.
