On Thursday. On May 7, the celebrations of the Day of the City of Košice culminated with a traditional ceremony, at which the citizens of Košice who significantly contributed to the support, development and spread of the good name of the city were awarded.
The Award of the City of Košice was presented by Mayor Jaroslav Poláček to the Vice President of U. S. Steel Košice for External Relations, Management and Business Development, Miroslav Kiraľvarga, for his extraordinary long-term contribution to the development of the city and industry in the European context and the support of cooperation with the City of Košice in the field of culture, education, volunteering and sports.
Miroslav Kiraľvarga was also congratulated on the award by his colleagues Mike Piekut, Isao Takenami, Elena Petrášková and Silvia Gaálová.
Mike Piekut, Deputy President of U. S. Steel Košice: "Miro makes a significant contribution to the development of the community, he plays a key role in our company in cooperation with the city. It is also a great honour for us that he received this award today."
Isao Takenami, Vice President of Strategy: "I congratulate Miro on this significant award for his contribution to community and society."
Elena Petrášková, Vice President and General Counsel: "We are proud of Miro. He deserved the award for his many years of work that he does for our company and for the city at the same time."
Silvia Gaálová, Vice President for Financing: "We are glad that we have a person who not only represents our company, but has also been appreciated by the city of Košice. Miro is also a well-known personality in Slovakia. We wish him all the best."
"I like order. Order not only externally, but also in interpersonal relationships. I am convinced that the city of Košice is flourishing because there are good interpersonal relationships. Let's maintain this among the representatives of the city and those who work and live here," said Miroslav Kiraľvarga, whom we also congratulate on the award.
