The corporate Summer Sports Games will start on September 17 and registration is open. The offer of sports is varied, from the more dynamic ones such as football or volleyball, through endurance sports such as running or cycling, to the quieter bowling, table tennis, darts or chess.
Zuzana Brindová from Expedition plant is a regular participant in the Summer Games. At work, she is responsible for the packaging of our final products, for protecting the product on its way to the customer. It designs and recommends packaging for individual products, and also tests new materials. In private, he can relax from the everyday hustle and bustle on a bike. She appeared at company sports games as a child, when her mother worked in the ironworks, playing table tennis and volleyball.
"I usually compete in individual sports. I started with table tennis and bowling, later it was cycling and since darts were added, I have been participating in those as well. It is not possible to combine all sports in one year, but I always prefer what I enjoy the most - usually darts and cycling. However, I won't be able to do cycling this year, because I took the opportunity to sign up for the Carpathian hike, which was offered by our company. Unfortunately, it came out on the same Saturday."
I saw Zuzka play darts two years ago and she did great. She was also on the podium in "ping-pong". That's why I ask if he has trained in private.
"I started playing darts recreationally at university and I quite enjoy it. Even at home, we sometimes play with our daughters. Table tennis is interesting, but I'm not very good at it. If there are few women registered, you will also miss a medal."
She always likes to return to the Summer Games. This time he will compete in darts and as an individual in bowling.
"What fascinates me the most about the Games is the sporting spirit that connects people with common interests. I like to see colleagues who are from different divisional races and are like a well-coordinated team during the games. I like events where you don't look at what function you work in, but how you get along with whom in sports experiences."
And what would she say to colleagues who are still hesitant to register?
"Many would certainly like to participate in the Games, but maybe they are ashamed or afraid that they would not fit in. But that's a mistake, you just need to find the courage and surely everyone can find something that would make them happy. It is a wonderful relaxation in the company of known and unknown people, recognizing colleagues by their faces, not just by their voices. It is also an opportunity to measure our strength with others and find out what our body can do."
