Construction activity at the Polyclinic of the AGEL University Hospital Košice-Šaca on the premises of U. S. Steel Košice has stopped. The ceremonial opening of the renovated premises took place yesterday on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the founding of the polyclinic.
The hospital and polyclinic were originally established as a purpose-built facility for the employees of the East Slovak Ironworks and have a long-term partnership with U. S. Steel Košice. In an interview on this occasion, USSK Vice President for External Relations Miroslav Kiraľvarga said:
"The modernization of the polyclinic is an important milestone for USSK. We believe that a pleasant environment contributes to the overall comfort of our employees, whose health is taken care of by FNKE. Managing the volume of almost 6,000 preventive check-ups per year for our employees requires perfect organization. A healthy employee is a priority for us and the key to the success of the entire company. The current investment in the polyclinic is a clear proof of our common interest in prevention and top care, which are essential for the quality of life and health of each of us."
The reconstruction of the polyclinic lasted less than eight months and was financed by AGEL. In the premises of the polyclinic, USSK employees are provided with general and specialized outpatient care services. FNKE also provides a 24/7 emergency medical service on the premises of our company.
